Shopify Plus platforms for Saudi operations built to grow.

Binevi builds Shopify and Shopify Plus platforms for larger Saudi retailers, distributors and B2B companies: stores that connect to your ERP and warehouse, serve trade and retail customers side by side, and take on new markets without a rebuild. Our team works with yours from Canada.

Systems connected to Shopify Plus

  • ERPorders, stock, invoices
  • E-invoicingZATCA reporting
  • B2Bprice lists, terms
Plusstorefront · checkout · B2B
  • Paymentsgateway with mada
  • Warehouse3PL or WMS
  • AnalyticsGA4, server-side
  • CRMemail and loyalty
For a larger Saudi operation, the critical systems sit around the order: the ERP that owns stock and invoices, the e-invoicing flow ZATCA requires, and the B2B rules for trade customers.

What a Shopify build for Saudi Arabia has to get right

These are the questions that decide the architecture of a Saudi store, and the ones worth settling before design begins.

  • Tax

VAT at 15% and ZATCA e-invoicing

Saudi Arabia has charged VAT at 15% since July 2020. The first phase of e-invoicing has applied to all VAT taxpayers since December 2021, and integration with ZATCA's FATOORAH platform is rolling out in waves, with invoices to consumers reported within 24 hours. Whether invoices come from your ERP or an e-invoicing provider, the store has to hand over complete order and tax data, so we design that flow before the build.

  • Payments

mada at checkout, through the right gateway

mada is the national payment system owned by the Saudi Central Bank. Shopify Payments is not available to Saudi-based stores, so mada and buy-now-pay-later options are offered through a third-party payment provider. The provider you choose decides what your customers can pay with, which is why we choose it with you early.

  • Migration

Moving from Salla, Zid, Magento or WooCommerce

Salla and Zid can export products, customers and orders, but Shopify has no importer for either, so those moves need migration scripts. WooCommerce has a Shopify import route; Magento's built-in export leaves out orders. We map what moves automatically, what needs scripting and what is rebuilt, and put redirects in place so search rankings survive the move.

  • B2B

Trade and retail on one platform

Shopify's native B2B, included on the Basic, Grow, Advanced and Plus plans, covers company accounts, price lists and payment terms. Some B2B features, such as saved cards for company buyers, depend on Shopify Payments, which Saudi stores cannot use, so we plan trade payments around your gateway.

  • Data protection

    Customer data under the PDPL

Saudi Arabia's Personal Data Protection Law has applied in full since September 2023. A Shopify store passes customer data to its payment provider, apps, analytics and marketing tools, so we list every place that data goes, set consent and privacy notices to match, and review the list with your legal adviser before launch.

What we build for Saudi operations

The larger the operation, the more of the work sits behind the storefront. This is where we spend it.

Work that shows how we build

Our case studies are from Canadian clients. We show them here for the problems they solved, which are the same problems a larger Saudi operation has to solve.

Little Magpie storefront rebuild

A full rebuild of a Canadian stationery distributor’s store: a new identity, collections by category and brand, a complete wholesale journey, and three languages.

A distributor's store rebuilt to serve trade and retail at once, with collections by category and by brand: the structure a larger Saudi catalogue needs before it scales.

Little Magpie wholesale channel

A bilingual wholesale channel built inside a live Shopify retail store, opening a B2B sales route without disrupting the shopping experience.

Trade accounts added to a live retail store without disrupting it: a way to open a wholesale channel without running a second store.

How we work with Saudi teams from Canada

Our team works from Markham, Ontario. Discovery, design reviews and demos happen on calls in the daily overlap, and everything between calls is shared in writing.

  1. Discovery

We review your store, systems, data and goals, and agree in writing what the project must achieve before anything is designed.

  2. Architecture

Store structure, markets, integrations and data flows are mapped and signed off, so design and development build on decisions rather than assumptions.

  3. Design

The templates that carry your revenue are designed in Figma for desktop and mobile, and approved before development begins.

  4. Build

Theme, apps and integrations are developed on a staging copy of your store, which you review as the work progresses.

  5. Launch

Data migration, redirects and quality checks come before a monitored go-live, planned around your trading calendar.

  6. Evolve

After launch, the same team continues on an ongoing plan: improvements, new features and support.

Is Binevi the right fit?

We would rather tell you now than halfway through a project. This is where we are, and are not, the right partner.

A good fit if

  • You run a large catalogue or several brands, and Shopify has to scale with you rather than hold you back.
  • Trade and retail customers buy from you on different prices and terms.
  • Your ERP or warehouse system must stay the source of truth for stock and invoices.

Probably not the best fit if

  • You need an agency with people on site in Riyadh or Jeddah. Our team works from Canada.
  • You want the lowest-cost launch, with no integrations or custom work.

Questions buyers ask

Do you build on Shopify Plus?

Yes. We design, build and extend Shopify Plus stores, including checkout customisation, Shopify Functions and B2B. We do not claim a Shopify Plus partner tier; on a call we will walk you through the work most relevant to your project.

Can a Shopify store produce ZATCA-compliant e-invoices?

Through an e-invoicing app or your ERP, connected to Shopify orders. ZATCA brings businesses into integration in waves and invoices to consumers must be reported within 24 hours, so we design the order-to-invoice flow with your accountant and provider before the build.

Can you migrate our store from Salla or Zid?

Yes. Both platforms export products, customers and orders. Shopify has no built-in importer for either, so we write the migration, test it on a copy of your store and keep your URLs working with redirects.

Do you have a team in Saudi Arabia?

No. Binevi is based in Markham, Ontario, Canada, and works with Saudi businesses remotely. Calls are held Monday to Thursday in Riyadh afternoons, and work is shared in writing between them.
