A Custom Next.js Platform, Built to Book
Dream Cottage Crew needed more than a brochure site. Every property had to feel like the cover of a magazine, while the business behind it needed real tools — availability, bookings, guests and content, all in one place.
We built the front end on Next.js with full-bleed editorial spreads, cinematic photography and motion tuned to feel expensive rather than busy, so each cottage is presented the way a luxury property deserves.
Behind it sits a bespoke admin panel we designed and built ourselves: cottages, bookings, guests, enquiries, reviews, journal articles and site content are all editable by the team, with no plugins and no monthly CMS fees.
Everything — from image optimization and caching to a maintenance mode for quiet updates — was engineered so the site stays fast and the team stays in control.
One Calendar, Every Platform
Double bookings are the nightmare of every cottage owner. Dream Cottage Crew lists across Airbnb, VRBO and Booking.com — three calendars that had to behave like one.
We built a calendar sync engine that pulls each platform’s live feed on an automatic hourly schedule, merges it with manual owner blocks, and feeds a single source of truth to the website — so a date taken anywhere is instantly unavailable everywhere.
The same system publishes an outbound feed back to the platforms, and the team can force a refresh from the admin panel at any time and see exactly when each calendar last synced.
A Booking Flow Built to Convert
Enquiring about a cottage should feel as effortless as staying in one. We designed a booking experience that answers the guest’s real question first: is it free, and what does it cost?
A premium date-range picker shows availability at a glance — taken nights are visibly blocked, never a dead-end error after the fact — and the quote updates live with nightly rates, weekday and weekend pricing, cleaning, service fees and tax.
Every field is validated inline on the way in, so requests arrive complete and the team can confirm a stay in a single click from the admin panel.
Priority Support
Launch was the starting line. We handled the entire go-live — domain, hosting, SSL, CDN and deployment pipeline — so the team never had to think about infrastructure.
We stay close to Dream Cottage Crew, adding properties and features as the collection grows, tuning performance, and keeping the platform fast and secure while they focus on hosting exceptional guests.
