Planning a migration to Shopify

A migration is two projects that have to happen together: moving your data accurately, and deciding how much of the storefront comes with it. Getting that second decision right is what keeps the cost and the risk down.

A good fit if

  • You are on Magento, WooCommerce, Shopware or a similar platform and maintenance is taking more than it gives.
  • Your catalogue, customers and content need to arrive intact, with the URLs that already earn you visits.
  • You want the storefront rethought as part of the move, rather than rebuilt identically.

Probably not the best fit if

  • You want a like-for-like copy of a storefront you are happy with: that is closer to a theme build than a migration project.
  • Your current platform is working and the only complaint is speed: a speed engagement is a smaller, cheaper fix.

Will I lose my search visibility when I move?

Changing URLs is the main risk in any migration, which is why a URL and redirect plan is part of the work: existing product and collection addresses are kept where possible, and redirected where they must change. No one can promise rankings through a replatform, but the addresses that already earn visits should keep working.

What data actually moves?

Products, customers, orders and content. Everything is checked after transfer rather than assumed — that check is part of the project, not an extra.

How long will my store be down?

The new store is built and tested alongside the old one, so the switch happens when it is ready. You receive a plan with the cutover approach after discovery.

Which platforms do you migrate from?

Shopware, Magento, WooCommerce and others. The platform matters mostly for how much of your current setup is custom, since that is what has to be rebuilt rather than transferred.

What does a migration cost?
